Another Lost Tooth!

A couple days ago, Liz lost her 3rd tooth! It was has been a little bit loose for awhile: little being the operative word. We had Sunday dinner at Dan's house and her Aunt Kate was talking about how when she was little all her friends were loosing teeth, but she still wasn't so she stayed up all night wiggling a tooth so it would come out. Well, little Miss Liz must have really been listening because Monday night she stayed up for 2 hours wiggling the tooth until it came out. She wanted to start on the next one, but I told her it was a Tooth Fairy rule that you could only loose one tooth at a time...if I hadn't told her that, I would have woken up in the morning to a toothless girl!

I'm seriously the worst blogger ever, but I have been taking pictures almost everyday...just haven't posting them. I will get caught up one of these days. Until then, here are a couple photos for you, Dan. As long as I let Liz pose me, she let Aunt Teresa take as many pictures as she wanted. We miss you!

Our poor girl

What a hot and muggy day! I'm so thankful that we have good AC in our apartment! Work went by super quick today. I was busy from the time I got there until we locked the doors. I was smart and work comfy shoes today, so no sore feet tonight!

I got a call at work today that Lizzie fell off the ladder/slide at grandma's house and bit her lip. Luckily we think it scared her more than hurt her, although she has a pretty puffy and black & blue lip. When I was talking to her on the phone it broke my heart. I'm so glad she fell the way she did and didn't break a tooth. A couple popsicles and some tylenol seemed to do the trick and I think she had a good rest of the night. Thanks for fixin' her up Chella!

She is holding her "Huggee Doll" that one of the wives of Dan's Army Leaders gave her. It is suppose to help kids cope with having their military parent gone. We still need to put a picture of daddy in the face pocket, but since the doll has eyes Lizzie  insisted it was okay to take out. She had fun taking "daddy" with her everywhere today!

We went shopping atTarget (my favorite daily stop!) for a present for Heidi's birthday tomorrow and then headed home for some left over Albertson's Chicken and Chips. While we were at Target we had to make a quick run through the Target dollar spot. You can't go to target without finding an awesome $1 deal, right! Anyway, they had a whole bunch of Tinker Bell stuff so I let Liz pick out a few things. She was so excited that they had Silvermist Lipgloss (her favorite fairy) but was a little disappointed when she went to put it on and it wasn't sparkly like the lid was. I was told several times throughout the rest of the night that I was the BEST mom in the whole world and that she loves me sooooo much. I hope she remembers that next time she is mad at me!

After we got home and ate, I put together the handout treats for Heidi's birthday tomorrow. It is an Old McDonald theme, so the plan was that I would make Haystacks. That seemed like too much work by the time I got off work so I decided to do Rice Crispy Treats, but then when I went to the store to get the ingredients I saw the Little Debbie Rice Crispy Treats already made so I grabbed those instead. I unpackaged them and wrapped them in saran wrap and ribbon to looking like bailing twine. So much easier and so much less work! The funny thing is that before bed, No Bake Cookies sounded REALLY good so I made a batch of those!

Well, I'm off to scrapbook a little bit before bed. I'm so excited to have the day off tomorrow. Hopefully I can sleep in a little! This morning I was still in bed (awake but in bed) and Liz came running in all excited and telling me that she is such a big girl now because she got her bowl of cereal ready and even poured the milk....and when she was all done she washed her own dish. That is her new favorite thing...washing dishes. It will be nice to have a little helper around while Dan is gone!

Day Three....

We made it through another day! Yay! I was actually able to sleep in a little bit this morning. Those who know me know that I HATE getting up early and the last week or so I have been waking up at 7:30 in the morning and not been able to go back to sleep. I made it till 8:30 today though and that extra hour of sleep gave me a boost of energy!

Liz got to spend the entire day with Aunt Chel and Heidi today while I went to work. I wore my really cute new summer sandals (with a fairly high heel) today and then ended up helping move the showroom all around. Boy were my feet killing me by the end of the day! High heels are not meant to be worn when doing manual labor! Hopefull the changes will help sell some furniture tomorrow. It seems like everytime we move something it sells, even if it has been on the floor for months.

Today at Chella's Liz told her that when she grows up she is going to play with her kids all the time, all day long and that they don't have to go to sleep. She is going to make them stay up and not go to bed at night. That is definalty one for the scrapbooks that we will have to pull out 20 years from now and show her when she has first kid! She is so much like her mamma and would stay up all night and sleep in all morning if I let her.

Liz and I had a quite night. We got chicken from Albertson's (Yum!) and Sour Cream and Onion Chips and Cottage Cheese (Double Yum!). She took an hour long bubble bath while I cleaned the bathroom. We watched the Berenstain Bears and she was asleep by 9, again!

I had a few people as where I found my actions for PSE. They were FREE and the gal that does them has some amazing tutorials on how to install and use them. They were awesome! Here is the website: COFFEE TEA PHOTOGRAPHY. I seriously couldn't believe that they were free.

I think I'm going to go and scrapbook and watch a little Office before bed. I have 3 uninterupted hours to get some stuff done!  I haven't scrapbooked in like a month and I'm in the mood tonight. I'll end with a few pictures from today for Dan...

She was looking a little rough today. I could NOT get her hair to lay flat so it was a crazy hair day and it looks like we need to cut those bangs already!

The Plan....

When Lizzie was born and Dan had to go to the Middle East, I took a picture everyday AND scrapbooked it. I didn't want Dan to miss a single day of our little sweetie growing up. So, that is my plan again...the taking pictures part. Now that I work and Lizzie is older I won't have the time to scrapbook every picture at the moment, but I *think* I can blog it. I love that Dan will be able to check every night and see what we have been up to, plus it will hopefully get me into the habit of daily blogging for when we move to North Carolina.

We had a busy month leading up to Dan leaving yesterday morning.Instead of doing a super long post with all the event of the last month, I think I will do our daily post and then blog about one older event until I'm all caught up. We have had all kinds of graduations and recitals and programs with lots of pictures to share!

DAY 1 (Wednesday):
Dan left at 9:00 sharp and made it to where he was going safe and sound. He was give wrong directions on post, but made made his checkin' time with just minutes to spare. Liz went to school and I went to work. She was excited to go grandma's after school! She really missed her the last month. Her and Heidi played in the pool most of the afternoon. I went to work for the first time in 4 days and was able to get caught up on a few things. Then I had to go pick up our car. Seven hundred dollars later and the back tires still won't align, but I think I will call it good since I will be selling it 5 months anyway. It does seem to drive smoother, so it wasn't a total waist of money! It is always hard to invest money into something you know you aren't going to have for very much longer. After work I and had to run to a few stores and get Liz a last day of school outfit, a new swimsuit and the the last items I needed for her teacher's thank you gifts. It was a busy day. Liz actually fell asleep before 9 and that NEVER happens!

DAY 2 (Thursday):

Today was Lizzie's very last day of preschool. I managed to make it through the day without crying, but I did tear up a couple times. I cry at everything, so I'm sure that isn't a big surprise. They had a swim day and got to wear their swimsuits (hence the swimsuit shopping from yesterday). They had a couple wading pools set up and the sprinklers going. Liz said "it was so fun and they even got popsicles, but I had a pushup because I haven't had one in a long time and it was like the Scooby Doo ones we had but they weren't the same. It was so good and tasted just like fruit!" She said it just like that too. She talks as fast as her mom when she gets excited about something! I wanted to get the teachers a gift they could use and not have to store, so Liz and I made them a Family Movie Night Bucket with popcorn and movie candy and a gift card to a local rental store. I loved how it turned out and wanted to keep it! It weighted about 10 pounds by the time were done and Liz was so excited she lugged thing down the entire stairs to her class!
I picked Liz up from preschool since it was her last day, dropped her off at grandma's to play in the water some more and then headed off to register her for Kindergarten before I went back to work. I know, it is June and I'm just now doing it. It is finally done though, and I quit worrying about it. I still can't believe my baby is starting grade school!

After work Chel, the girls and I drove up to Shadle to pick up an Kids Art Easel she found on Craigs list for $15 dollars. It was an awesome find and the girls will have so much fun with it this summer. We had a GPS but it didn't like to tell when we had to turn until right when we had to turn. There were a few scary moments! We ended the night by getting to talk to Dan for a few minutes. He was tired and heading off to bed.

Family Photo Shoot:
For my "past event" I'll share the family photos we took last week. We went to the Finch Arbor. and Chel took our pictures. I just love taking pictures up there. There were tons and tons of great shots, but I'll just share a few. I downloaded some new photo actions for PSE, so I played around with the photos a little. It is amazing how much better they make photos look! These were part of my anniversary gift so Dan let me take as many pictures and do as many poses as I wanted with out complaining. It was so fun....at least for me!

Ten Days And Counting....

Thats right! Just 10 more days until Dan graduates and is officially a 2Lt. the US Army. He has finished his senior thesis and has a couple tests next week and he is an official college graduate. Liz and I love him so much and are so proud of him!
I'm busy working on stuff for the big Shabby Princess Birthday Bash next month, but my designer friend made an Army kit just for me so I had to take a break to do a page in honor our hero!

GRADUATION, MILITARY UPDATE AND MORE!

Well, I thought I would update my poor blog since Dan has been gone all weekend and I can't sleep. I've been tired all day and as soon as 9:00 hit I caught my second wind I think I'm gonna be up all night! Dan has been gone the last few days and doesn't get back until late Sunday night. They are having their Army Spring Training and were suppose to go to Ft. Lewis, but because of the snow and the bad passes they stayed in town and are training at Seven Mile.

So, we have lots of exciting news! We finally know kinda what Dan will be doing and where we will be going. We know he is in the Medical Corp, but we don't know what his exact job will be yet. It was his first branch choice, so he is pretty excited. He leaves for training on June 10 and will be gone until right before Christmas. Liz and I will be staying in Spokane because she will be starting kindergarten and Dan will be at 3 different Posts during that 6 months. We are going to miss him so much. The last two days have been hard, so I don't know how 6 months will be. I figure if Kate can do it and be pregnant, than Liz and I can do it, too!

Anyway, Dan will be commissioned as a 2LT in the Army on Friday, May 8 and then he will graduate on Sunday, May 10. We love for as much as our family to be there as possible so let me know if you need more details! I believe the commissioning starts at 5 at Gonzaga.

After Dan finishes all his training, we are headed off to lovely.....
Fort Bragg, North Carolina. We are sad to be going so far away from home, but are excited for the adventure, too. We have never been to the East Coast and there is so much history in that part of the country. He is attached to the 82nd Airborne, which is a really hard to get. It feels really good to actually have a time line and a plan of action.

On to other things. We had the Military Ball in February. My mom made my dress and I just LOVED it! The lighting on these pictures is really bad and I haven't scanned in the official picture yet, but I have lots of people asking to see pictures so I thought I would post these anyway. I love how the camera ads like ten pounds to you. I totally don't feel like my face is that round! So, try and ignore the double chin and my glaring white arm, and just admire the fabulous job my mom did on my dress and how handsome Dan looks in his uniform....and my sweet red heels that Jayson hooked me up with!

We had a really great night. The food was delicious and we had the biggest slices of chocolate cake you have ever seen....we are talking Costco sized cake slices. Yum! Dan had to do Color Guard (presenting of the flags). He was nervous about it for days, but he did just perfect. He says he messed up once, but I didn't notice. He is more of a perfectionist than me!

Lets see...Lizzie got her shots for Kindergarten. She did so awesome! She tried to be so brave and not cry. The nurse finally told her it was okay to cry and she just grabbed on to me and let it all out! When they are babies you just give them a bottle after shots and they are fine. When they are older they want to know why mom is letting the nurse hurt them. I felt so bad. She perked right up when she found out she could get 4 stickers instead of the normal 1. She also thought it was pretty cool that she was braver than Uncle Dave when he got his shots. He took off running down the hall and grandma had to chase him!
Before Shots (we brought Sherry Bear for support and stopped by Build-A-Bear for a  new outfit when we were all done):
And later that night:
Liz had a St. Patrick's Party at school that she had tons of fun at. They played games, made crafts and ate lots of green food that she wasn't too sure about!
She has started to learn to read and write at school, so her new favorite thing to do is to have me write things down that she tells me for her to copy. She spent an entire evening on this one. In case 1 sign wasn't enough, she created 4 and added a red feather boa across the door. We have so many boys to keep out of her room,  you know! (Don't ya love how little kids write! It is so darn cute!)We got to see the Easter Bunny last week, too. We were the only ones there so it was really nice. She was being silly and decided she was scared and took off running down the mall. I had the pleasure of chasing after her in heals. I finally got her to sit next to him and she snuggled up to him and took the cutest picture. I need to get it scanned so I can post. Here are a few after shots, though. Grandma made her cute dress.
And finally, she looked so cute and grown up on Sunday that we had a little impromptu photo shoot. As long as I let her pick the place and the post, she will let me take as many pictures as I want, which is a nice change from the last 4 years where it was liking pulling teeth to get her to sit still and take a picture.

I think that is about all I can think of for now. Liz does have another loose tooth, so I'm sure there will be some news in the near future about that.  Everyone have a fabulous Sunday!

Ohh, I almost forgot. The new stuff I created was released at The Shabby Shoppe today and Shabby Princess did a fabulous job creating samples with all the albums and treat wrappers. Check it out! These were my favorite and I can't wait to make them to hand out for easter. I designed it all with SP's kits, but haven't actually printed anything out and assembled it yet.

I also did this layout a couple weeks ago using Kim Hill's Sibling Rivalry Kit.
Love Ya Chel!
