I thought I would never see the event of today transpire. Little Miss Liz actually took her earring studs out! It has been almost a year to the day that we got them pierced. We looked forward to the 6 week mark because that meant we could put in new earrings, but that day came and went. She was terrified and insisted that it would hurt. I finally talked her into putting ice on her ears to numb them and then she wouldn't feel a thing. They came right out and she has been busy trying on all the new earrings that everyone had sent her in hopes that it would tempt her to take out the studs. She loves the dangling ones best and has been picking out coordinating outfits and earrings all day... even pajamas!
I also got will to sleep for over an hour without me holding him! Usually he wakes up within minutes if I put him down. Dan has been gone for two days and I needed a break! I put him in his boppy and wrapped the arms around him so it felt like someone was holding him and then tucked a super comfy blanket around. It was pure and quiet bliss for 60 minutes!
Will and Liz were wearing Polo Shirts and Jean Shorts so I just had to get a couple pictures. I'm hoping one day I will get that perfect shot. It is definitely harder than it sounds. Liz always looks like she is man-handling him and Will is either screaming or has one eye closed....and they are NEVER looking in the same direction! So frustrating!
....and a just because he is so cute picture!
I have a little area set up in the nursery where I can just plop him down and take pictures whenever he is looking extra cute...which is always!
