Focus...

Due to a little "off-road adventure" I took two weekends ago, we had to say goodbye to my dear Nissan Rogue. It was my first brand new car and I loved it. I don't even have any good pictures of it, which makes me sad. Our insurance company declared the damage was too great and they deemed it a total loss. We got enough money back to payoff the Rogue and have a sizable down payment on a new car....totally awesome news, but you can only imagine how high our premiums will be for the next three years. Lets just say you do NOT want to get in an accident in North Carolina. They have some of the strictest/most expensive insurance laws in the states. Hopefully we can PCS in 18 months and our new state will be kinder to us!

We spent our Saturday shopping for new cars. We had a list of 4 cars we wanted to look at....shouldn't take long, right? OMGosh, car salesmen are annoying! I'm still getting calls from some of them and it is Wednesday. We finally settled on a new Ford Focus. It has tons of upgrades, for a lower price than the new Rogue I was going to get. It is a tad smaller, but I'm getting used to it. I feel like I'm cheating on my Rogue, but I LOVE this car! I feel so cute driving around in it! :)  

Dan loves it, too and is planning on giving me driving lessons in the truck this weekend so he can drive the car to work. It gets some awesome gas milage so we will save a ton of money, but I'm not too sure about driving the truck! At least I will be very well protected if I decided to go on another "adventure".

The car is the same silver color as Dan's truck, so we have matching cars. Cute, huh!?!

And a picture of the kiddos because it just doesn't seem right to blog without including a picture of them. Liz was entertaining the little man while I was getting ready this morning. I love that she loves him so much!
